— Uplifting Ministries Golf Classic, 9 a.m. at Cassell Creek Golf Course, 4199 Lexington Road. Cost is $75 per player or $300 per team, which includes the game, cart, lunch and prizes. Hole sponsorships are available for $100, which includes a custom-printed sign on a hole of the course or $500 for the premium sponsorship, which includes custom-printed signs, two entry fees and permission to put advertising in carts or goodie bags. Uplifting Ministries was founded by Winchester native David Lane in Guatemala. Lane runs a comprehensive mission center in Guazacapan which includes English lessons, youth groups, alcoholic feeding programs and child sponsorship programs.
