Labor Day Weekend Festivities

Published 6:18 pm Saturday, September 1, 2018

Labor Day weekend kicked off Saturday with the George Rogers Clark High School track and cross country Daniel Boone 5K Honoring David Borden and the GRC Cheerleaders’ annual Walk with Friends.

Thousands headed to the Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival to browse the crafts and arts vendors and feast on kettlecorn, candy and more; though, the afternoon rain caused the cancellation of the local talent contest.

Saturday wrapped up with festivities planned by the Winchester Labor Day Committee at Heritage Park where attendees enjoyed various vendors, family fun and music by DJ Snooki as well as live music later in the evening.
