Parking, traffic flow changes this weekend at CRMC

Traffic will flow differently this weekend at Clark Regional Medical Center as the hospital plans to seal its parking lots.

Jason Thomas, facilities team leader at Clark Regional, said crews are scheduled to work in the employee and ambulance lots Saturday and the visitor lots Sunday.

“We will have cones and barricades up with signage about how to get to the hospital,” Thomas said.

CRMC Marketing Manager Sarah Alexander said the hospital will continue to operate as normal this weekend.

Ideally, everything will be completed this weekend.

“All this is dependent on the weather,” Thomas said. “They’re calling for rain but we’re going to try and push through.”

With asphalt plants scheduled to close for the year in less than two months, the clock is ticking.

“For a business that’s open 24 hours a day seven days a week, there’s never a good time,” he said. “On a week day, every spot is filled.”
