Food pantry at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will open a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry will be open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Blessing of the Animals at Mt. Zion UMC

Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 6145 Mount Sterling Road, will host The Blessing of the Animals at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the church. The community is invited to bring their pets to be blessed. Treats and water will be provided.

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
