It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Scott at her home in Tyrone, GA on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at the age of 79.

Mary was born to parents George McLemore and Lizzie Carlton McLemore in Montgomery, Alabama on September 29, 1938. She was a devoted mother and raised a large family in Cincinnati, Ohio. She loved reading thrillers and mystery novels and always had a stack of books to read. She later settled in Winchester, KY before moving to Tyrone, GA to live with her son and his family in her final years.

Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack Scott, her dear daughter, Jacqueline Scott, and all her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Sylvia McLemore and her sons: Rondey Scott and his wife Michelle; Jack Knight-Scott and his wife Beth; Fredrick Scott and his wife Dana; Alphonso Scott and his wife Misty; Anthony Scott; and Theodore Scott. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Her ashes will be interred at a private graveside service at Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, KY on Saturday, September 29th, 2018.
