Shelby Miller, 68

Shelby Miller, 68, husband of Kathy Miller, of Winchester, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 after a short battle with Lymphoma.

He was born on July 27, 1950, to the late Cornwallis and Canzalia Combs Miller, in Clay City, KY.

In addition to his loving wife of 48 years, he is survived by two sons, Brian (Lisa) and Jeremy (Helena); two grandchildren, Angela and Shelby Dean. Shelby was a loving father and husband and will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind, hard-working man, always willing and ready to help others. It is because of his strength and kindness that his family thrived.

Shelby worked as a laborer with the Laborers International Union of North America for most of his life, moving on to work as a Field Rep, Business Manager, and eventually Regional Training Director for Kentucky. Shelby had a strong love for his fellow man and dedicated much of his life to fighting for workers’ rights and fair treatment.

Funeral services will be at 1:00PM, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Scobee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Combs-Miller Family Cemetery in Clay City, KY.

Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6:00-8:00PM at Scobee Funeral Home.
