Partners in Education’s newest program, Be A Man (BAM), is in full swing.

The program officially began at the end of September and is operating at Baker Intermediate School and Clark County Preschool.

The goal of BAM is to provide positive male role models to young boys.

At the preschool, a volunteer will read to three groups of students for one hour a month.

At Baker, a group of volunteers will visit the After School Reading Club weekly.

PIE Executive Director Greg Yates said there are about 30 BAM volunteers, but he is in search of more for the program at Baker.
