WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, EMS personnel responded to 42 general medical calls, six cardiac cases, three respiratory cases, one diabetic case, one stroke and two seizures.

— At 12:09 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Maryland and Lexington avenues.

— At 7:02 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to 247 S. Highland St. concerning an unauthorized fire in a backyard.

— At 11:43 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident near 39 S. Maple St.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Jason Spencer, 38, of 237 Constitution Drive, was charged Sunday with possession of marijuana and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Reports

— At 4:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 500 L&E Junction Road after two dogs were attacking and killing goats. The goats’ owner said she shot and killed one of the dogs while the other ran way. Ten goats were killed and two more were injured. The dogs’ owners identified the dead dog, apologized and promised to “make it right.”

— At 7:37 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 421 Mount Vernon Drive for a welfare check. While deputies were there, Jason Spencer walked out of the residence and smelled of marijuana. Deputies found a plastic bag containing marijuana in Spencer’s pocket, and he said he had two Lortab pills on his pocket. Spencer was arrested on multiple charges.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 2:15 p.m. and 6:43 p.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with calls at 214 Cherokee Court.

— At 1:08 a.m. and 11:27 a.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with calls at Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation, 200 Glenway Road.

— At 7:17 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1340 White Conkwright Road.

— At 8:08 p.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 1417 Iron Works Road.

— At 8:15 p.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 2850 Mount Sterling Road.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Meagan Elaine Blanton, 30, was charged Sunday with theft by unlawful taking, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and first-degree promoting contraband.

— James Dewayne Bowman, 44, was charged Friday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Lakisha Renay Bucker, 20, was charged Saturday with first-degree robbery.

— Kevin D. Dawson, 45, was charged Sunday with second-degree fleeing or evading police and theft by unlawful taking.
