The featured speakers were from Clark Regional Medical Center. Ashley Moore, director of emergency services, and Candice Tackett, director of patient experience, talked about the symptoms of a stroke or heart attack and passed out information.

Don Rose announced a free program honoring U.S. veterans and their spouses Nov. 7 at Rose Mary C. Brooks Place. The following day, veterans were entertained at the Generations Center. Rose, who has interviewed more then 200 vets in Clark County, interviewed Frank Farmer about his World War II experiences at this event.

Three new members — Judy Bowman, Bruce Miller and Ann Shephard — joined AARP, bringing the local membership to 46.
