Baker Intermediate welcomes new assistant principal

Baker Intermediate School has a new assistant principal.

Stacey Moore, an educator with Clark County Public Schools for 15 years, will start as the new assistant principal Dec. 3.

“I am excited for the new role in our awesome school,” Moore said in an email.

Moore has been at BIS for four years. She holds bachelor’s degrees in both environmental education and elementary education as well as a master’s degree in instructional leadership, according to a news release.

Moore also obtained her National Board Certification in the area of middle childhood generalist in 2009, according to a release.

In addition to her experience in fourth and fifth-grade classrooms, Moore has served as a reading and math interventionist, building assessment coordinator, writing cluster leader, and science core content leader.

Moore has held leadership roles in the district with the Certified Evaluation Committee, Superintendent’s Teacher Council, English and Language Arts Curriculum and Assessment Writing Team and District Instructional Leadership Team, according to the release.

Moore has also received the Relationship Builder Award from the Clark County School District and the Excellence in Teaching Award from Campbellsville University.
