A Winchester man charged after not seeking medical attention for his mother was indicted for murder.

Winchester Police said Sheila Wisecup had a seizure on the night of Oct. 20.

Jeffrey Wisecup told police he heard her having the seizure and dragged her into her room and shut the door.

When he checked on her the next morning, she had died.

Police said Jeffrey Wisecup did not report her death, but told other people she had died and promised them to secrecy.

During a hearing in Clark District Court, Winchester Police Detective Dennis Briscoe testified Jeffrey Wisecup said he and his mother had talked about both committing suicide using her insulin pens and pain medication.

Wisecup is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Clark Circuit Court. He was indicted Nov. 16 on a single count of murder.

The Clark County grand jury also indicted a Winchester man for allegedly stealing more than $40,000 from a woman over about six months, breaking her hip and not allowing contact with her family.

Jonathan Bostic, 42, was charged with exploiting and abusing a 70-year-old woman he was living with.

The victim told police he used her debit card without permission for about six months, regularly used her car and would not return it either.

He also allegedly pushed her down, which led to a broken hip, but did not seek medical attention for her.

Bostic was indicted for knowingly exploiting an adult and knowingly abusing or neglecting an adult.

The grand jury also returned the following indictments:

— Ernesto Batiz, first-degree assault.

— Johnny Christopher, theft by unlawful taking over $500, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000, second-degree persistent felony offender.

— Paul Leach, trafficking in a controlled substance (three counts).
