A Winchester man was indicted for allegedly distributing explicit images of juveniles over the internet.

Alan C. Martin, 40, of 9 Hillcrest Drive, was arrested by state police in October after they traced “files of child sexual exploitation” to an IP address in Winchester registered to Martin.

When Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at Martin’s residence Oct. 16, Martin was home and admitted searching for, downloading and viewing explicit videos involving juveniles.

Martin was indicted for three counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

The grand jury also issued indictments for a Winchester man who allegedly punched a child and broke its leg in a fit of frustration.

Justin Robinson, 25, of 247 April Way, was arrested in October for first-degree assault and first-degree criminal abuse after the child was taken to Clark Regional Medical Center with a broken leg. Police said the child had other bruises as well.

The child, who was 2 at the time, was left at home with Robinson, his stepfather. Police said Robinson told them he was frustrated because the child was “sassing” him and kept picking up the dog. Robinson said he disciplined the child by hitting him with a fist. He said he also put the child over his shoulder, but the child fell and he caught the boy by his leg. When he did, Robinson said he heard a pop.

The child was later taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for further treatment.

The following indictments were returned by the grand jury.

— Andrew W. Phillips, first-degree burglary.

— Jonathan M. Martin, first-degree sodomy.

— Phillip B. Hatton, first-degree sexual abuse.

— Howard Tudor, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (four counts).

— Justin A. Johnson, no or expired registration plate, failure to maintain insurance, no operator’s license (misdemeanor indictment)

— Robert K. Byrd, receiving stolen property, first-degree persistent felony offender.

— William E. Everman III, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree promoting contraband.

— William E. Everman III, second-degree burglary, receiving stolen property.

— Dee Ann Boyd, receiving stolen property, first-degree promoting contraband, first-degree persistent felony offender.

The following case was dismissed by the grand jury.

— Robert K. Byrd, trafficking in a controlled substance.
