SBA disaster loans available to Clark businesses

Small businesses, non-profit organizations, agricultural cooperatives and small aquaculture businesses affected by heavy rains in August and September can apply for loans to cover their regular operating expenses.
According the the Small Business Administration, businesses can apply for economic injiury disaster loans for up to $2 million for businesses which could not pay for their “ordinary and necessary” bills. The declaration applies to the period of heavy rain and flash flooding between Aug. 30 and Sept. 27. The declaration covers Clark, Bourbon, Powell and Fleming counties as well as the contiguous counties of Bath, Estill, Fayette, Harrison, Lee, Madison, Menifee, Montgomery, Robertson, Scott and Wolfe.
The application deadline is July 23, 2019.
