Elvin Gene Witt, 79, husband of Cora Jane Biddle Witt for 43 years, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY.

A native of Madison County, KY, he was the son of the late Elvin Witt and Amanda Elizabeth Cox Witt. He worked at the University of Kentucky Physical Plant Division of Plumbing. He was a member of the Clintonville Christian Church, a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Billy Gene (Teri) Witt, Randy Gail Witt and Bonnie Mae Gross; two stepchildren, Janie (Miller) Davis and Robert Herrington; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one sister, Florine Isaacs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Clintonville Christian Church, 141 Austerlitz Rd., Paris, KY by Rev. Chuck Kemp. Burial will be in the Clintonville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the church.

Pallbearers will be Robert Herrington, Chad Davis, Trevor Thornsburg, Kaleb Thornsburg, Dale Witt and Jimmy West.

Honorary pallbearers will be Miller and Janie Davis, Daron and Dawn Michelle Thornsburg, Fran Davis, Grace Davis and Maggie Davis.
