Senior Isaiah Noland has been playing football and basketball since sixth grade.

He said he has stuck to sports because he loves playing and because of the friendships he has built over the years.

“I love football,” he said. “It is different. I love being out there with the guys in basketball. We have created strong relationships over the years that can’t be broken.”

Noland said he is fully confident in his basketball game.

“I would say my strengths are everything,” he said. “Right hand or left hand, I can do it all. I am an all-around player. In football, my hands and route running are my strengths.”

Noland wants to continue to get better.

“In football I need to get a little stronger and faster,” he said. “I want to work on my ball-handling in basketball.”

Noland said his motivation comes from his mentors.

“My mom and my coaches motivate me,” he said. “Moms are always supposed to be there. That is what they are for. My coaches have always pushed me to do my best.”

Noland wears no. 5 in basketball and wore no. 9 in football.

“I wanted to wear no. 5 in football,” he said. “I could not get it because I did not play last year. It is my favorite number, there is nothing more to it.”

Noland said his pregame routine varies from day to day.

“I like to go out to eat with my friends,” he said. “I like to go to the gym, listen to music and sit down and get focused. I like to listen to Drake. He is my go-to.”
