Velma Sharon Patrick of Campton, Kentucky, departed this life Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 22 days.

She was a daughter of the late Stephen Clay and Velma Romona Hanks Rose born at Charleston, West Virginia on October 10, 1947. She was a retired beautician and former secretary for the Wolfe County High School. She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Good Shepard in Campton, Kentucky.

She is survived by one son, James Todd Patrick and wife, Tracy of Campton, Kentucky and one grand-daughter, Kennedy Todd Patrick. She was preceded in death by one son, Jason Clay Patrick; the father of her children, James Azel Patrick; her parents, Stephen Clay and Velma Romona Hanks Rose; and one brother, Stephen John Rose. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Serving as pallbearers; Stephen Rose, John Rose, Will Lacy, Steve Smith, Van Husrt and Tom Yeager.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 6 P.M. and services will be held Friday, January 4, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. both at Porter & Son Funeral Director’s in Campton, Kentucky. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery, Campton, Kentucky.
