Harold H. Crawford, 89, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 surrounded by family.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia “Connie” Tur of Winchester, KY and Teresa J. Elliott of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren, Christina M. Lepkoski of Winchester, KY, Jennifer M. Tur and spouse, Tracy Crosier of Tobyhanna, PA, Joseph Harold Tur of Dunmore, PA, John T. Tur of Winchester, KY and Robert Michael Elliott of Greensboro, NC; two great grandchildren, Joseph Anthony Tur and Juliana Marie Tur, both of Dunmore, PA; one brother, Samuel Crawford of Muncy, PA; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends including long time friend and business partner, Zeldon Angel, who ran his farming business in later years.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Marjorie G. Crawford; two brothers, Joseph and Wayne Crawford; one sister, Mary Louise Isaacs and his parents, Thomas S. Crawford and Edith G. Crawford.

Mr. Crawford was an Air Force veteran who enjoyed his post in Alaska. Upon leaving the service he gained employment at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY, where he worked for 33 years receiving many awards and commendations for exemplary service. He was also the owner-operator of Crawford Water Hauling for over 60 years, as well as, a cattle and tobacco farmer on his property in Winchester.

He was a proud member of the Masons Lodge of Winchester, KY. He took great pride in his farm and crops. He loved to watch old westerns and was particularly fond of John Wayne movies. He was an avid reader of Louis L’Amour. But the thing that gave him the greatest joy was spending time with family at reunions and holidays. His humor and infectious laugh will be forever cherished and sorely missed.

Services will be at 1:00PM Friday, January 11, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 12:00PM until time of service.
