CVS Health will officially open its new store in downtown Winchester later this month.

The location, at 24 W. Lexington Ave., opens Sunday, Jan. 27.

CVS personnel, including store manager Marty Griffin and other store associates, will celebrate with a grand opening and ribbon ceremony at noon Friday, Feb. 1.

CVS and Kentucky Bank agreed in late 2016 for CVS to purchase the former Kentucky Bank location.

Demolition and construction began in May 2018 to make way for the new CVS.
