CVS Pharmacy opens new Winchester location

The new CVS Pharmacy location has stayed busy during its first week since opening Jan. 27.
CVS employees and other community members celebrated the store’s grand opening Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new store, at 24 W Lexington Ave., offers an expanded selection of healthier foods and wellness products in addition to a full-service pharmacy featuring a drive-through option and patient consultation room, all designed to make it easier for local customers to get and stay healthy, according to a news release.
Carolyn Abner, an employee of CVS for nearly 48 years, said she is glad to finally be in the new 12,000-square-foot building.
The store is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The pharmacy is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
Store manager Marty Griffin said he invites everyone to visit the new CVS and to see what all it offers.
“We are glad to be a part of Winchester,” he said.
