SATURDAY, APRIL 20

— Grocery store tour, 10 a.m. at Kroger. Join a registered dietitian on a tour to learn how to make healthy food choices, save money and read food labels to improve wellness. Instructor will be located in the shopping cart area with a clipboard. Class size limited to eight people. RSVP at brynnan.jacobs@lpnt.net to reserve your spot.

— Swimming workshop, 10:30 a.m. at College Park Gym. Learn how to swim laps or make your swim strokes more refined. Proper swim attire, towel, water bottle and goggles are recommended. All swimming abilities welcomed. Email wccpr.programming@gmail.com with questions.

— Underwater Easter egg hunt, noon at College Park gym, 15 Wheeler Ave. Open swim for all ages begins at noon. Egg hunt begins at 1 p.m. Open to ages 14 and younger. Cost is $5 and includes swimming before and after the event. Pre-register by April 19.

— George Rogers Clark High School football golf scramble, 1 p.m. at the Winchester Country Club. Cost is $75 per person or $300 for a team of four.

— Smart 911 seminar, 2 p.m. at Broadway Christian Church. Chelsea Doyle and Chad Burkhart will speak about the program. Sponsored by the Winchester Black History and Heritage Committee. Free. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 744-7207.

— “Healthy Choices for Every Body Series,” noon at the Clark County Extension Office. The Healthy Choice for Every Body series is designed to educate the whole family with new ways to eat healthy and exercise for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Each lesson of this series will include a recipe demonstration and tips on topics such as meal planning, eating better on a budget, and weight management. There will be drawings and prizes for participation. Pre-registration is required by calling the extension office at 859-744-4682. Taught by Nutrition Education Program Assistant Sandy Kennedy.

RDC will be transitioning to students requesting classes through Infinite Campus Student Portal. The student portal scheduling window will only be open at designated times. RDC is hosting an informational night for incoming students to explain this process, answer any questions and provide students and guardians an opportunity to request classes for the 2019-20 school year. The American Heart Association’s Family and Friends CPR course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult hands‐only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and choking relief for adults, children and infants.
