Services, yard sale at Liberty Bible Church of God
— Services at Liberty Bible Church God are: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 6 to 7 p.m. Sundays. The church also provides children’s church and nursery care. The Rev. Lonnie Storms will be preaching.
— There will be a yard sale at the church from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. In case of inclement weather, the sale will be moved into the church fellowship hall.
Yard sale at The Branch
The Branch at Providence, 7076 Old Boonesboro Road, will host an indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds from the yard sale will benefit outreach ministries of Providence Pentecostal Church. For more information, contact Becky Still at 859-749-3127.
Grace Bible celebrates 15 years
Grace Bible Church, 250 N Main St., will celebrate its 15-year anniversary with a concert by the Gospel Harmony Boys at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Gospel singing at Evangelistic Outreach
Evangelistic Outreach Church, located at 8 N. Bloomfield Road, hosts gospel singings each Saturday at 6 p.m. Pastor is Ed Hopper.
Services at First Christian Church
First Christian Church, 24 E. Hickman St., offers worship services at 10:45 a.m. Sundays. Special music will be performed by the “Four on the Floor” group meaning the whole array of bells will be played by only four people. The group will perform “Two and Three” by Matthew Prins. There is a children’s sermon given each Sunday, along with a children’s “Worship and Wonder” class. Communion is served each Sunday and all who attend are invited to share in it. Events at Trinity UMC
— Trinity United Methodist Church, 307 N. Main St., has Sunday services at 10:30 a.m.
— Trinity United Methodist Church Thrift Store is open every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Installation service for new pastor
Corinthian Baptist Church, 37 Fifth St., will host installation services for the Rev. Ronald L. Burns, the church’s new pastor, following morning worship services at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Reginald Davis of Macedonia Baptist Church in Keene, Kentucky. Afternoon installation services will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. T.H. Peoples of Historic Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Lexington. The public is invited to both services.
Food pantry at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.
Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove
The congregation of Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, continues its celebration of the Resurrection this Sunday by looking at one of the appearances of Christ to His disciples, as recounted in the Gospel of John, chapter 20. This week’s worship service at “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” will be back to the regular time of 11 a.m. and will be followed by “Pizza and Proverbs,” a study of the wisdom literature of the Bible.
Services at First Presbyterian Church
Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. There will be a potluck following the service at 11:30 a.m. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
