GRC graduation set for Friday

More than 300 local students will graduate Friday night during the Class of 2019 commencement ceremony.

George Rogers Clark High School will graduate 345 students at 7 p.m. Friday at Cardinal Stadium, 620 Boone Ave. Of those graduating, three are Phoenix Academy graduates and 19 are juniors graduating early.

Valedictorian Corey Terrell and Salutatorian Sarah Kubican will be the guest speakers.

A rain plan will be announced to seniors during graduation run-throughs Friday. At the time of the ceremony, temperatures are expected at 78 to 58 degrees with a 40 percent chance of rain.

Parking will be facilitated by the GRC JROTC cadets and golf carts will be available for guests needing assistance.

Following the ceremony, seniors are invited to attend the annual Project Graduation from 11:30 p.m. Friday until 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

The final day of school is Thursday.
