Vernon Hukle Jr, 95, lifelong resident of Clark County passed away on Wednesday May 29th surrounded by family.
Junior, as he was known throughout his life, was a Marine who served this country in World War II as part of the Pacific Theatre. He received two Purple Hearts during the battle of Okinawa. Mr. Hukle spent his years after the war farming which he eventually retired from.
He is survived by a son Vernon (Sonjia) and a daughter Sissy (Danny) Overbee, four Grandchildren: James Fowler, Sylvia Hukle Adams, Allen Campbell II and Matthew Hukle as well as two Great Grandchildren: Tyler Hukle and Reagan Campbell.
Mr. Hukle was preceded in death by two daughters- Alma Hukle and Patricia Campbell as well as his beloved wife Wilma.
Funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, June 3, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Billy Keller. Burial will follow at Clarmont Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers will be James Fowler, Allen Campbell, Matthew Hukle, Jack Winburn, Joey Winburn and Phillip Howard.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home.
