Leonard Paul “Peeps” Ramsey, 92, widower of Mary F. Chism Ramsey, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Northpoint Nursing Home.

A native of Clark County, KY, he was born on May 1, 1927, to the late Lee Roy Ramsey and Bertha Fitzpatrick Ramsey. He was a retired manager for Delta Gas and previously worked for Clark Energy and owned a Western Auto Store. Paul was a member and deacon of Allansville Baptist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel, former mayor of Stanton, KY and a veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a mash unit medic. 

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela (George) Drake and Rhonda (Alan) Snapp; two sons, Paul (Sharon) Ramsey and Cliff (Martha) Ramsey; one son-in-law, Lanny Hutchinson; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth, June, Ward and Ralph; sisters, Jean Kreitzer and Carolyn Whisman. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deborah Hutchinson; brothers, Roy Layton, Phillip Wade and H. Linville. 

Services will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Bro. Ray Coates. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-8:00PM at Scobee Funeral Home.
