Services at Liberty Bible Church of God
Services at Liberty Bible Church God are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 6 to 7 p.m. Sundays. The church also provides children’s church and nursery care. The Rev. Lonnie Storms will be preaching.
Appointed Quartet at Grace Bible
Appointed Quartet will perform at Grace Bible Church at 6 p.m. June 23. Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken. For more information, call 737-4722.
Gospel singing at Evangelistic Outreach
Evangelistic Outreach Church, located at 8 N. Bloomfield Road, hosts gospel singings each Saturday at 6 p.m. Pastor is Ed Hopper.
Services at First Christian Church
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 24 E. Hickman St., offers worship services at 10:45 a.m. Sundays. There is a children’s sermon given each Sunday, along with a children’s “Worship and Wonder” class. Communion is served each Sunday and all who attend are invited to share in it. Services include music from the church’s choir, pianist and organist. The church will celebrate Pentecost during the 10:45 a.m. service June 9. The paraments on the lectern, pulpit and communion table will be adorned with red enhancements, and the congregation will red for the celebrations. The church’s guitar ensemble will be featured. Services at Salem Church
The congregation of Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, will celebrate Pentecost this Sunday by considering what it means to be the C-H-U-R-C-H. Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.
Events at Trinity UMC
— Trinity United Methodist Church, 307 N. Main St., has Sunday services at 10:30 a.m.
— Trinity United Methodist Church Thrift Store is open every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Food pantry at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.
Services at First Presbyterian Church
Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
