The father-daughter team of Scott and Molly Franklin fired a sizzling 31-31-62 to capture the annual July 4 String Tournament at the Winchester Country Club Thursday.

The 10-under par-effort was solid enough to hold off a strong effort by runners up Heath and Andrea Tucker, who recorded a personal best 64.

Third place went to Dudley Taylor and Treva Montgomery (65), fourth to Mason and Meredith Guy (67), followed by Luke Sharrock and Baylee Salyers (68), Patrick Tierney and Sarah Muncie (69) and Grant and Sidney Owen (70).

The father-son division went to Joe and Jacob Settles, who fired a one under par 71.  A total of 33 teams competed.
