Police and fire reports for July 11, 2019

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Tuesday, EMS personnel responded to 14 general medical calls, two cardiac cases, three respiratory cases, one diabetic case, two strokes and one overdose.

— At 6:54 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a grass fire at 235 S. Main St.

— At 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a structure fire at 118 Sycamore St. The fire is under investigation. Winchester Fire-EMS Major Gary Henry said the house appeared to be vacant, but front and rear doors were open when firefighters were arrived. The fire was contained to the floor in the living room area. The owners of the residence have not been identified. Henry said the fire is under investigation.

Charged

— Joshua Scott Tucker, 26, was charged Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking.

Reports

— At 4:48 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 410 Noble King Court concerning a stolen vehicle.

— At 5:26 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 27 E. Washington St. concerning a person taking items from women’s purses. Joshua Scott Tucker was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.

— At 6:44 a.m. Tuesday, officers took a report after someone broke into a vehicle.

— At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning a person making threats.

— At 9:24 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning a recovered wallet.
