Charles Venable Kindred Jr., 92, widower of Suzanne Smith Kindred, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at his home.

He was born on October 3, 1926 in Winchester, KY to the late Charles and Lucy Kindred. He was retired from Codell Construction Co. as a Chief Technology Officer. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and is also a member of First Christian Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Anne (Jim) Willis of Winchester KY, Charlene Tarvin of Knoxville TN, Martha Jo (Ron) Mays of Circleville OH; one son, Michael (Deanna) Kindred of Winchester KY; 12 grandchildren, Mollye Raney, Lucy Baker, Lauryn Hensley, Cameron Tarvin, Allison Goins, Kate Queen, Suzanne Mays, Chase Kindred, Tayler Kindred, Micah Kindred, Andrew Wolfe, Issac Wolfe; nine great grandchildren; special friend, Pat Roncella; and care taker, Wanda Rogers.

Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30PM Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home.

Services will be 1:30PM Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Dr. Jerry Johns. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chase Kindred, Ron Mays, Clint Raney, Jim Willis, Jimmy Powell, Henry Besuden, and James Baker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Goins, Austin Queen, Marcus Shearer, Jimmy Codell, Hagan Codell, and other past employees of Codell Construction Co.
