The former George Rogers Clark High School standout will attend Florida Coastal Prep this fall. Graham announced his future plans on Friday.

Instead of going straight to college, Graham opted to attended Florida Coastal, located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

‘I’m very excited about this opportunity,” he said. “After the end of my high school season, my family and I decided a year of prep school would be very good for me, long term. We went right to work on trying to find the right fit.”

That road led Graham to Florida Coastal, where Lee DeForest leads a program, which centers its program around the Princeton offense. After meeting his future coach, it didn’t take Graham long to make a decision on his immediate future.

“His program checked every box — great living situation, meal plan, and he’s very well respected among the basketball community,” Graham said.

According to its web site, Florida Coastal Prep is a program “is a player focused program driven by our experienced team of former college and professional coaches. Our management and coaching staff is dedicated to providing training and skill development that will prepare our players to be college ready on Day 1.”

Graham admitted the path to the next level won’t be easy, but embraces the challenge.

“This route I’m taking is going to be a grind — and it’s going to be a mental and physical battle, but it’s going to prepare for the next level,” he said. “I’m blessed and thankful for all the support I have around me. I can’t wait to start this next chapter.”

Graham is the son of George Rogers Clark girls basketball coach Robbie Graham.
