The George Rogers Clark High School girls golf team placed second in the Cardinal Classic Thursday at the Winchester Country Club.

The Lady Cardinals finished with a 355, paced by senior Hannah Curreri who posted a 1-over-par 73. Curreri finished her round with a birdie on No. 15.

Curreri fired a 36 on her first nine holes and posted a 37 on the back nine.

Curreri defeated second-place finisher Grace Walker of Christian Academy of Louisville by two strokes. Isabella Christy of Paintsville carded an 80 and was third.

Molly Franklin followed Curreri with an 89, while Brenna Rose finished with a 92.

Richmond Model won the event with a 354.
