Police and fire reports for Aug. 20, 2019

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Nickell Carlton, 25, of 114 Lexington Ave., was charged Thursday with no insurance card, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, no seat belt, possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration receipt, failure to notify state of address change and license to be in possession.

— Arthur Bangs, 20, was charged Thursday with no seat belt, possession of drug paraphernalia and was served a warrant.

— David A. Perez, 25, of 1136 Dale Drive, was charged Saturday with leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence and menacing.

— Johnathan Stage, 21, of Clay City, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, speeding and reckless driving.

— Alexander Dyer, 23, of 418 Colby Ridge Blvd., was charged Saturday with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended operator’s license.

Accidents

— At 1:59 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an injury accident near the 97 mile marker on Interstate 64 in which Randall Smith of Clay City was driving east in a dump truck loaded with concrete pieces. Smith said the left front tire failed and the truck crossed all eastbound lanes before striking the concrete divider and a light pole. The truck overturned and spilled its load into the westbound lanes as well. Some of the concrete pieces struck a westbound vehicle, driven by John A. Vance of Georgetown. Smith was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

Reports

— At 12:55 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to 116 Mary Way after a tool box was stolen from a pickup truck.

— At 7:50 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 6266 Ecton Road after someone entered a barn and took several tools.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 7:49 a.m. Friday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Verna Drive.

— At 10:51 a.m. Friday, firefighters assisted EMS pesonnel with a call on Hibiscus Lane.

— At 5:46 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 3849 Becknerville Road.

— At 10:44 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 122 Teal Lane.

— At 1:49 a.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Flanagan Station Road.

— At 2:01 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident near the 97 mile marker on Interstate 64.

— At 2:11 a.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to 114 Fontaine Blvd. for an investigation.

— At 11:41 a.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Lexington Road.

— At 5:38 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 3985 Colby Road.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Tiffany Renia Manning, 20, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault.

— Wiley F. Pelfrey, 47, was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal trespassing, second-degree fleeing or evading police and alcohol intoxication.

— Teresa Mae Ross, 54, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (two counts), second-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

— Damien M. Rotter, 35, was charged Friday with fourth-degree assault.

— At 3:25 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning an assault.

— At 8:22 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 240 Chatham Place concerning an assault.

— At 6:13 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1330 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a counterfeit $100 bill.

— At 10:23 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1500 Bypass Road for a domestic disturbance.

— At 12:36 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 127 E. Broadway St. concerning a domestic disturbance.

— At 6:55 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 129 Holly Ave. concerning an assault.

— At 8:44 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 194 Wabash Ave. concerning an assault. Tiffany Manning was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 9:25 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 37 Flanagan St. concerning a stolen vehicle.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, EMS personnel responded to 27 general medical calls, three cardiac cases and seven respiratory cases.

— At 4:39 a.m. Friday, firefighters were called to 1750 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for an alarm sounding.

— At 11:45 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to 108 Jefferson St. for a smell of gas.

— At 12:50 a.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to Central Avenue and Alabama Street for a smell of smoke in the area.
