Jimmie Lewis Eades, 76

Jimmie Lewis Eades, 76, husband of Joyce King Eades passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 after a long illness.

He was born in Madison County to the late Lewis Eades and Julia Parker Eades Brown.

Mr. Eades worked at Rockwell for more than 22 years, farmed, and owned and operated J&J Grocery and Boonesboro 76. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from July 6, 1961 to June 25, 1964. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and had served as a Trustee in the past. He was an avid hunter and fisher. He also enjoyed watching UK basketball and the Cincinnati Reds play.

In addition to his wife of over 50 years, he is survived by two sons, James Albert Eades and Jason Bradley Eades of Clark County. Three sisters, Lois (Clark) Evans of Swazee, Ohio, Barbara Russell of Manilla, Indiana, Tammy (Dave) Hunsinger of Homer, Indiana and one brother, Burnis (Diane) Eades of Pebbles, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Lisa Darlene Eades.

Services will be at 1:00PM, Monday, August 26, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Jim Muncie. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Parker, Dwayne Eades, Kenny Palmer, Troy Bishop, Ronald Dee Black and Jim Brookshire. Honorary pallbearers will be William Perry, Dickie Flannery, Ray Taulbee and Deacons and Trustees of Landmark Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Monday from 10:00AM until time of services.
