A Clark County judge sentenced a man to a year in prison after he pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with a child in 2016 and 2017.
Nathaniel Parks pleaded guilty in May to one count of first-degree sexual abuse as part of an agreement with prosecutors.
According to the court record, Parks was indicted in 2017 for first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and first-degree persistent felony offender, citing previous convictions for theft and assault. The latter charges were dismissed as part of the agreement.
According to the indictment, Parks was accused of having sexual contact and deviate sexual contact with a child younger than 12.
