LLL Club has September meeting

The LLL Club had its regular monthly meeting at potluck luncheon Sept. 17 at Central Baptist Church.

President David Hoffman conducted the meeting and gave the opening prayer.

Dr. Bill Snowden led the group in singing “Standing on the Promises” and “There Shall Be Showers of Blessings” accompanied by Peggy Snowden on the piano.

Devotion speaker Carolyn Todd spoke about God had a plan for her when her husband was ill. She read Jeremiah 29:11 and closed with prayer.

Guest speaker Mark McLean, associate pastor of administration, gave his personal testimony.

Minutes were read by Gayle Crowe and the treasurer’s report was given  by Phyllis Henderson. Both were approved as read.

The club voted to give a $50 donation to the Eliza Broddus Mission.

Out to Lunch was Oct. 1 to the Bread of Life Cafe and shopping at the Amish Market. The next club meeting will be oct. 15.

September’s birthdays were recognized.

Mr. Hoffman read the prayer list and Ken Durkin gave the closing prayer and table blessing.
