With less than a week until Kentucky’s statewide elections occur, local interest is already ahead of the last state election.

According to the Clark County Clerk’s office, 373 people have already voted as absentees, including mail-in ballots. In the fall 2015 general election, 317 absentee voters cast their ballots.

“It’s picked up in the last week,” Clark County Clerk Michelle Turner said.
