Veterans Day is Monday, and local groups have already started honoring veterans for the holiday. Hospice East hosted its annual veterans luncheon Thursday and several local schools had veterans recognition programs Friday. Numerous other events are planned for next week including a community Veterans Day service at 11 a.m. Monday, along with programs at Strode Station Elementary, Campbell Junior High School and Conkwright Elementary.
