A multitude of charges are going to the grand jury against a man who allegedly broke into a home and refused to leave.
Two days later, he was arrested again after fighting with five police officers at the hospital.
Carlos A. Cruz Dominguez, 26, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing in both cases Wednesday in Clark District Court, but decided to waive the probable cause hearing and let the grand jury decide both cases.
According to Winchester Police, officers were called to a home on Stamper Drive Oct. 19 when a man entered the residence and refused to leave. The resident said she tried to lock the man in the garage, but he pushed past her and locked himself in the bathroom.
When officers arrived, they entered the bathroom and found Dominguez totally naked and refusing to put his clothes on.
Three days later, Dominguez was arrested again following an incident at Clark Regional Medical Center. Dominguez had been released on bond in his initial case.
According to court documents, Dominguez was in the emergency room Oct. 22 when he became irate and was cursing other people.
He reportedly charged at five offices and started a fight, before they put him on the floor. He continued to fight the officers, including spitting on them, as they tried to arrest him. Eventually, a face shield was placed on Dominguez, he was arrested and returned to the Clark County Detention Center.
He is charged with five counts of third-degree assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, second-degree burglary and first-degree indecent exposure between the two incidents.
