George Rogers Clark had 12 players selected to the all-district football team and three more selected as honorable mentions.
The Cardinals led all teams in the district with 12 selections, followed by Oldham County with six selections and Madison Central and Bryan Station with four selections each.
The Cardinals had four seniors selected to the all-district team: Qua Lewis, Tye Boyken, Blake Watkins and Chase Taulbee.
Clark County had seven juniors selected to the team, including six offensive players. Azariah Israel, Jordan Manley, Dawson Gay, Dylan Gibson, Trace Mitchell, Tommy Wright and Tate Richardson.
Center Cole Warner was the lone sophomore selected from GRC.
Emery Swartz, Colby Ritchie and Isaac Graham were all selected as honorable mentions.
The Cardinals won the regular season district title for the first time in 10 years this season and with the amount of all-district players they return, they should be the favorite for next year.
Israel is the headlining returner after finishing his junior season third in the state in total rushing yards and eighth in rushing touchdowns.
The offensive line will mostly return with another year under their belt to clear the way for Israel.
The defense returns only one all-district player in Mitchell but will return lots of other key players who should improve with another year of experience.
