A Clark County couple charged for not cleaning the home where their child lives sent their case to the grand jury.

Angela Rose Teboe and her husband Andrew J. Teboe were each charged with one count of second-degree criminal abuse in January, after sheriff’s deputies discovered the situation.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, detectives received a tip in January about a child living in poor conditions.

Andrew Teboe was home at the residence on Hackberry Circle when detectives arrived and allowed them to walk through the home, along with social workers.

Inside, there were animal feces on the floor throughout most of the house, trash in piles on the living room floor and fly traps covered in dead flies.

Detectives also discovered more than a dozen cats, two dogs and a ferret lived in the home along with a 6-month-old child.

While the Teboes said the house had not been cleaned in three weeks, detectives believe it had been much longer.

Detective Matt Eversole of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said. Andrew Teboe said he had not cleaned the home because his job requires a lot of overtime, and he did not have the energy to clean when he got home. He also said Angela stayed at home, but was busy caring for their child all day.

Both Teboes remain in the Clark County Detention Center.
