Police and fire reports for March 5, 2020

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Michael Wayne Friend, 51, was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

— Johnnie Steven Huff, 40, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence and second-degree criminal mischief.

Reports

— At 10:03 a.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning unauthorized charges on the caller’s bank account.

— At 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 100 Boyd Place after a window on a car was shattered.

— At 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 225 Carolina Ave. for a domestic disturbance. Michael Wayne Friend was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report for theft, unlawful imprisonment and terroristic threatening.

Accidents

— At 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an injury accident on College Street in which Glenn Anderson of 2150 Elkin Station Road was turning left from Garner Street onto College Street. He said he did not see any other traffic, but was struck by another vehicle after he started his turn. The other driver, Justice Daniel of 212 Inverness Lane, said he could not stop in time because of the wet road and collided with the other vehicle. Both were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after complaining of neck pain.

 

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Tuesday, EMS personnel responded to 18 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, one seizure and one overdose.

— At 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Mountain Parkway near the 3 mile marker.

— At 8:06 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on College Street.

— At 10:56 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm at 15 Wheeler Ave. It was a false alarm.

— At 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1465 W. Lexington Ave. It was a false alarm.

 

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding in the 4200 block of Colby Road.

— At 12:51 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Jameson Way.

— At 6:52 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Bybee and Four Mile roads.

 

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Isaiah Morguson, 20, of Clay City, was charged Monday with driving under the influence, rear license plate not illuminated, disregarding a top sign, no seat belt and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Jamie Railey, 39, of 39 Heather Lane, was charged Tuesday with no seat belt, improper signal, tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana.

Reports

— At 4:15 p.m. Feb. 16, deputies took a report at CVS, 24 W. Lexington Ave., after a woman was knocked down by a person in a motorized scooter.

— At 9:31 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to the site of the former Dale Station power plant on Ford Road for a theft of tools and damage to a fence.
