William C. Wells, 76, husband of Linda K. Wells, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his home.

He was born on July 15, 1943 in Powell County to the late Robert Wells and Mary Zella Sams Stokley. He was retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond, KY. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Italy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church.

In addition of his loving wife of 50 years he is survived by children, Joanna (David) Hall and Michael (Crystal) Wells; Grandchildren, Corey (Bridgett) Wells, Destiny Wells, Jacob Clark, Baylei Clark and Koty Hall; great grandchildren, Chance Wells, Bryleigh Wells and Caiden Wells; sisters, Justine (Gene) Humfleet and Roberta Handy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Issacs Wells and sisters Lavenia Catchings, Vernice Watson, Alice Powell and Hattie Puckett.

The family has elected to hold only a graveside service in remembrance of William Wells. Out of respect for the Governor’s request for both small and large gatherings, we want to do our part to respect all people of Kentucky as well as pay tribute to our beloved Mr. Wells

Graveside services will be at 11AM Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Puckett, Corey Wells, Johnny Catchings, John Robert Watson, Michael Wells and Jacob Clark. Honorary Pallbears are Edward Catchings, Rocky Hall, Nelson Hall, Brandon Puckett, Herbert Puckett and the members of Antioch Christian Church.
