Irene Vivion Woosley, 101, widow of Elmer Woosley, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Clark Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 13, 1918, in Clark County, to the late Georgia Engle Vivion and Thomas Jefferson Vivion.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert S. Vivion and Linville T. Vivion; one sister, Mary Francis Vivion; and grandson, Robert Lee Woosley.

Survivors include sons, James R. (Judy) Woosley and Donnie R. (Julie) Woosley; grandchildren, Mike Woosley, Angela Woosley Pacheco, Pamela (Jim) O’Bryan and Ryan Thomas Woosley; great grandchildren, James Douglas Combs, Michael R. Woosley, Zack Woosley, John Thomas O’Bryan, Paige Waldridge, Brooke O’Bryan, Olivia Pacheco, Josh Woosley and Abagail Combs; several great grandchildren; nieces, Joy Lou Williamson and Marlene Woosley Wright; and nephew, Maurice Allen Woosley.

She was a retired teller from Winchester Bank. She owned and operated, with her husband, grocery stores in Kiddville and Winchester. She co-owned and operated with her brother self-serve laundry business in Winchester.

She was a dedicated Christian and served the Lord at Kiddville Baptist Church and was a member at Central Baptist Church for 48 years. She was also a member of the LLL Club, the WMU, and former member of the Clark County Saddle Club, Clark County Kiwanis Club and the Kiddville Homemakers Club. She loved serving her community and helping others. She attended the Generations Center where she served as volunteer until she was 95 years old.
