13th case of virus confirmed

There are now more than a dozen confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Clark County.

The Clark County Health Department reported Tuesday afternoon that there has been a 13th confirmed case of COVID-19, or coronavirus, in Clark County.

The newest case involves a 46-year-old man, and comes after 12th case was reported Monday afternoon.

The case reported Monday involves a 48-year-old woman.

Health officials are working with the Kentucky Department for Public Health to identify and speak with all those who may have come in close contact with her while she has been contagious.

Additional details about the person cannot be provided because of medical privacy laws.

Other cases have been a 73-year-old woman, a 54-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, two 49-year-old men, a 27-year-old woman, a 33-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman, a 72-year-old man, a 67-year-old man and a 60-year-old man.
