Carl Edward Littleton, 92, Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Parma, OH, passed away May 15, 2020 at Winter Haven Hospital, due to complications from COVID-19 and Alzheimer’s disease.

Carl was born October 28,1927 in Cincinnati, OH. He was a gentle and quiet man, who cherished the simple things in life. Carl retired from LTV Steel, Cleveland, OH in 1994 after nearly 39 years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Parma. His wife often said he was one of the most patient men she knew, as he accompanied her on trips to the store and watched without objection while she shopped. Carl proudly embraced his Blackfoot heritage and enjoyed traveling — his favorite trip was a trek out west to South Dakota, Wyoming and Colorado. A true child at heart, he was known to play practical jokes and was certain to make you laugh with his unexpected humor. He was a master tinkerer and frequented hardware stores for fun. He was a proficient woodworker and was notorious for repurposing kitchen tools for his projects. Carl loved to peruse flea markets and had quite the collection of salt and pepper shakers and pocketknives. He will be fondly remembered for wearing his signature fedoras and classic black sunglasses.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 45 years, Wanda Ratliff Calvert Littleton, formerly of Winchester. He is also survived by one daughter Maria Calvert Barksdale (Ken) of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Winchester, one granddaughter Sarah Senn (David) of Dothan, AL, and two great-grandsons, Joshua and Gabriel Senn, also of Dothan. He was preceded in death by his mother Alice, sister Lodema, and brothers Nolan and Harold.
