52nd COVID case involves child

Officials with the Clark County Health Department have confirmed a new positive case of COVID-19 involving a pediatric patient.

Additional information about the child cannot be provided because of medical privacy laws, the department said in a news release.

The Health Department is currently working 32 active cases and has had 52 active cases overall since the coronavirus pandemic began.

“Confirmation of this case reinforces the importance of remaining vigilant in our fight against COVID-19,” Public Health Director Becky Kissick said in the release. “It is essential we all practice good social distancing, wash hands frequently and wear a mask.”
