Irene Allen Overbee, 85 of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky widow of the late Tom Overbee, Jr. departed this life Monday, May 25, 2020 at Windsor Care in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

She was a daughter of the late Edgar, Sr. and Evalee Taulbee Allen born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on May 29, 1934. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by four sons, Mike Overbee (Terri) of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Danny Overbee (Sissy) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Rick Overbee (Pamela) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Tim Overbee (Kellie) of Lexington, Kentucky; one daughter, Karen Jimerson (Kevin) of Russell Springs, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Lee Allen (Lucille) of Pine Ridge, Kentucky; and one sister, Phyllis Allen Wall of Richmond, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Overbee, Jr.; her parents, Edgar, Sr. and Evalee Taulbee Allen; five brothers, Elzie Allen, Charles Allen, Herbert Allen, Edgar Allen, Jr., and Willie Allen; and three sisters, Adean Stevens, Pauline Nelson, and Mary Feltner. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Serving as pallbearers; grandsons. Serving as honorary pallbearers; granddaughters. Graveside services were held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Field Branch Cemetery, Frozen Creek, Breathitt County, Kentucky with Pastor Billy Keller officiating.

Porter & Son Funeral Directors in Campton, Kentucky were in charge of arrangements.
