Wesley Nelson Raney, 47, passed away on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020. He was born in Clark County, Kentucky, on Sept. 12, 1972, to Carolyn Sue Baber Raney and the late Marcus Lisle Raney, Jr.
Wesley was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s in horticulture and was employed at the Winchester Country Club.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
Above all, he loved his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Connor (Sara Omohundro) Raney; two brothers, Marcus Lisle (Kim) Raney III and Kyle A. (Brooke) Raney; nieces and nephews, Hunter Marcus Raney, Austin Lisle Raney, Parker David Raney and Madeline Kyle Raney; two aunts, Susan Lynn Raney Noel and Phyllis (Robert Jr.) Hart; uncle, Bill (Linda) Baber; and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father and uncle, David Alan Parido.
A drive-through visitation will be held at Calvary Christian Church from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020.

Graveside services will be private at the Winchester Cemetery with Pastor Mike McCormick officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Muncie, Paul Baber, Scott Osborne, Scott Spicer and Robert Farnsworth. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Raney, Hunter Raney, Parker Raney and Madeline Raney.
