Lady Cards’ Cardinal Classic gets rained out

The George Rogers Clark High School girls golf team hosted their annual Cardinal Classic event Saturday at the Winchester Country Club.
The event paired 16 members of the GRC girls golf team against others from around the area including Estill County, Lincoln County, Madison Southern and Dunbar.
It was a beautiful day for golf, until it wasn’t.
Unfortunately, there were no winners because of the tournament ending early after the threat of storms proved to be too unsafe for continued play.
The GRC team continues their season with a Senior Night matchup at the Winchester Country Club on Wednesday against Estill County before finishing out the rest of their normal season on the road
