CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 2:29 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Lexington Road.

— At 6:32 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at Mount Sterling Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway.

— At 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Lafayette Boulevard.

— At 1:08 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Iron Works Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway.

— At 8:53 .m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Iron Works Road.

— At 12:33 a.m. Thursday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Wexford Drive.

 

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

—William Charles Coyle, 26, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking and resisting arrest.

—Alisha G. Combs, no age given, was charged Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Johnny R. Stipe, 34, was charged Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking and was served a warrant

— Zemond D. Turley, 20, was charged Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Amy R. Wells, 33, was charged Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking.

—  Colton B. Haskins, 23, was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal trespassing.

— Leslie Padgett, no age given, was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal trespassing.

— At 8:46 a.m. Monday, officers were called to 182 Pedro Way after an HVAC unit was damaged.

— At 11:41 a.m. Monday, officers were called to 5 W. Broadway St. after a juvenile took his mother’s phone, pushed her and said he wasn’t going to school.

— At 1:07 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 108 Linden Ave. after someone took a handgun and holster.

— At 1:30 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 1018 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a stolen vehicle.

— At 2:15 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 261 Winn Ave. after someone broke into a storage building.

— At 8:08 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Walmart, 1859 Bypass Road, concerning a theft. William Coyle was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking and resisting arrest.

— At 10:05 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 250 Oxford Drive concerning an assault with hot water.

— At 11:36 a.m Tuesday, officers were called to 198 Tyler Banks Court concerning a theft of a laptop computer and television.

— At 2:54 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 209 Madison Ave. after phone and internet wires were cut.

— At 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Walmart, 1859 Bypass Road, concerning a theft. Johnny R. Stipe and Amy R. Wells were arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.

— At 7:06 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Walmart, 1859 Bypass Road, concerning a theft. Alisha G. Combs was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.

— At 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 134 Linden Ave. concerning a stolen dog.

— At 1:52 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 125 Kentucky St concerning an assault.

— At 10:18 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 205 S. Burns Ave. concerning a theft.

— At 2:06 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report at the police department for a harassment complaint.

— At 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 1988 Bypass Road for a vandalism complaint.

Accidents

— At 10:46 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to an injury accident on North Maple Street in which Lucretia M. Henson of 401 Atrium Place was crossing Maple Street on Broadway Street, while another vehicle, driven by Robert E. Leslie of 110 Mutual Ave., was driving on Broadway Street when the two collided. Leslie said the other vehicle pulled out in front of him, while witnesses had conflicting accounts of who ran a red light. Both drivers were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

 

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Justin W. Bailey, 32, of Lexington, was charged Sept. 12 with driving under the influence, first-degree fleeing or evading police, third-degree assault, resisting arrest, menacing and possession of marijuana.

— Brandon Peacock, 31, of 118 Park Ave., was charged Sept. 12 with driving under the influence (second offense).

— Crystal L. Elam, 53, of 501 S. Maple St., was charged Sept. 15 with disregarding a traffic control device, reckless driving and driving under the influence.

— At 11:11 p.m. Sept. 13, deputies were called to 2584 Irvine Road for a prowler complaint.

— At 10:02 p.m. Sept. 12, deputies were called to Combs Ferry Road for a fight in progress in a church parking lot. Justin W. Bailey was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 9:17 a.m. Sept. 11, deputies were called to the 7.5 mile point on the Mountain Parkway after a window was broken and battery stolen from a disabled vehicle.

— At 6:05 p.m. Sept. 13, deputies were called to 101 Heather Lane for a theft of medication.

— At 9:23 a.m. Sept. 11, deputies were called to 515 Morris Road concerning a theft of property.

— At 4:55 p.m. Sept. 10, deputies were called to Storage Units of America, 4629 Rockwell Road, after someone broke into a unit and stole items including fishing gear and tools.

— At 5:56 p.m. Sept. 10, deputies were called to 393 Wexford Drive concerning a suspicious person trying to make friends with children.

— At 3:28 p.m. Sept. 10, deputies were called to 290 Van Meter Road concerning an employee theft.

— At 8:24 p.m. Sept. 15, deputies were called to Ford Road concerning a missing Jet Ski.

Accidents

— At 5:44 p.m. Sept. 12, deputies responded to an injury accident near the 10 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway in which Barbara Cole of Clay City was traveling east when she lost control of her vehicle after hitting standing water. Her vehicle went off the road and into a ditch. Hear passenger, Douglas R. Cole, was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

— At 10:22 p.m. Sept. 10, deputies responded to an injury accident near the 103 mile marker on Interstate 64 when a vehicle driven by Ervin E. Clark of Cynthiana went off the road and stopped in the median. Clark was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with back and head injuries.

— At 1:06 p.m. Sept. 15, deputies responded to an injury accident on Veterans Memorial Parkway in which a vehicle driven by Wilma L. Woosley of 1109 Wills Rupard Road was turning left onto Iron Works Road and was struck by another vehicle. The other driver, James D. Light of 389 Trapp Goffs Corner Road, said he was approaching the intersection and the other car turned in front of him. Woosley’s passenger, Khole Means, and Light’s passenger, Martha Light, were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

 

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— From Monday through Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to 41 general medical calls, two cardiac cases, three respiratory cases, two diabetic cases, one seizure. three strokes and two overdoses.

— At 3:53 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a smell of gas at the Winchester Police Department, 16 S. Maple St.

— At 1:08 p.m. Tuesday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Iron Works Road.

— At 1:47 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 107 Seventh St.

— At 7:47 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to 104 April Way for an unauthorized fire.

— At 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Bypass Road and Interstate 64.
