Winchester women vie for WKU homecoming queen

Two Winchester women are among the 28 candidates for 2020 homecoming queen at Western Kentucky University.

Included on the ballot are Megan Rowe, daughter of Roger and Heather Rowe, and Ta’Myha Calloway, daughter of Chris and Tammy Calloway.

Rowe, a senior, is a biology and chemistry major and was selected by the Chi Omega and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternities.

Calloway is a fashion merchandising major and is sponsored by the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

The 2020 queen will be crowned Friday night during the football game. Because of COVID restrictions, a video announcement was to be taped and shown.

Candidates were expected to participate this week in a banquet Tuesday, an interview Wednesday, and a volunteer experience Thursday.

WKU students were to cast their votes online Wednesday.
